• Hereditary ( Mid Parental Height =[ Mother + father ( + 13 if male & -13 if female ) ] / 2 ( ± 5 )

Causes:
A- Notrnal growth variants:

Familial	Constitutional
Child grow within expected MPH - 5 Bone age = Chronological age.	Period of delayed growth in 2nd year . + ve family Hx of delayed puberty. Treatment: testosterone.

b- Syndromes:

• Down - Noonan. - Progeria.
• Turner - Sickle.

c- Chronic diseases & TTT:

• Chronic renal disease. - Malignancy
• Chronic inflame. bowel disease. - Rickets.
• Chronic Pulmonary disease (cystic fibrosis). - Skeletal dysplasia
• Chronic Corticosteroid treatment (osteogenesis imperfecta).

d- Endocrinal disease:

• Hypothyroidism. - G. H.↓↓.
• Pseudo hypoparathyroidism. - ↑↑ Glucocorticoids.
