New vaccine for cervical cancer

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common silent and invisible sexually transmitted disease, that lead to genital warts and cancers especially cervical cancer.


HPV has 130 strains and there is a lot of people  have HPV and unprotected against it , the vaccines Gardasil and Cervarix were made as a prevention for young women that  have not yet been exposed to HPV. also men up to age 26 are eligible for vaccine.*1

Inovio Pharmaceuticals in Pennsylvania developed an experimental vaccine for precancerous lesion that are associated with HPV or for people have it , there is astudy about that vaccine is safety and potential effectiveness*2, the experimental vaccine is formulated in synthetic DNA and pure water.

Study authors say the vaccine is formulated to work against all cancers caused by HPV types 16 and 18, including cervical, anogenital (anal and genital), and head and neck cancers. The researchers did not observe any side effects.

HPV is spread through genital contact, including oral sex, and partners can bounce the virus back and forth between them, making it harder to clear naturally.

Kissing is not known to deliver this STD.
